Google Tools

This handout was designed as an instructional handout for students; however, it can be followed by anyone who would like to use Google tools. The handout provides step-by-step instructions on setting up a Google account and adding Docs to your account tools. Discusses how to create a new document, as well as, upload an existing document from your computer.

This quick guide overviews Google Calendar. Google Calendar is great for those of you who want easy access to your calendars. You can import/export iCal files or sync with your Microsoft Outlook calendar. Google Calendar has the ability to send text messages to your cell when new events are added or when you receive new invites. Use a Blackberry, sync it with your Google Calendar. What about iPhones? Spanning Sync allows you to sync your iCal and Google Calendar with your iPhone for a fee.

This handout was designed to overview RSS. During the session, we set up Google Reader. If you are interested and do not have a free Google account, simply follow the instructions from the Google Docs file and add the Reader tool.
